But it usually works out- and in the end we all get some fresh air, some new places to explore and some together time. And I even get in a little girl talk.

The water was icy cold. And the wind gusts were, well, unexpected most of the time. My chair might have taken flight over 5 times. Darn that shade cover on top which I thought would be awesome, but actually turned it into a kite.
I can't get over the color of this lake! So green!
My friends, Lindsay and Ann. I love them, and their kids are so cute and well behaved. And Ann always has enough medicine, treats, toys, etc for everyone- and all with a smile. Sigh.
And I leave you with this- I just had to zoom in on Ollie and E from the picture above. According to them it was the best trip ever- but you knew that already, by the look on their faces.
To get to Tibble Fork Reservoir and American Fork canyon, take I-15 to the Alpine exit (Exit 287). This is the Timpanogos Cave exit. From Salt Lake City, UT, travel south to exit 287. From Provo, UT, travel north to the Alpine Exit. At the bottom of the exit, turn east and travel 7.4 miles on SR-92 (also called the Alpine Highway) to the fee booth at the mouth of American Fork Canyon. The fee to enter the canyon and Uinta Forest is $6.
After leaving the fee booth at the mouth of American Fork Canyon, continue up the canyon heading east on SR 92 for about 4.6 miles. You will pass Timpanogos Cave area. Watch for the road to fork to the north. At the fork, turn left, SR-144 (North Fork). Drive 2.2 miles up North Fork to Tibble Fork Reservoir.
