night snowshoeing

We decided to try snowshoeing by the light of the full moon last night. It was pretty cool! We went to Sundance who runs a special on the two nights during the full moon.
It was pretty dark when we started so we all had little flashlights or headlamps.
Then the moon rose and brightened things right up.

Can you see the tiny moon in the background? It was so big in real life!

 Cassie and Alex
They had groomed trails that turned out to be pretty loud and crunchy, so it was fun to walk off the trail  in the powder. So quiet and peaceful... all by the light of the moon.

Thanks for coming guys- we laughed so hard all night!
And it was fun to try something different than dinner and a movie.

The Sundance Nordic center is two miles past Sundance resort. It's a twisty, confusing road so be sure to look for the signs to lead you there.

Cost is $27 per couple for equipment rental and trail pass OR $12 per couple if you have your own gear.
