Why do I get so excited to grow my own veggies and plants? Especially when they grow so fast...

So I saw this the other day and decided to try it:
After you use the top part of your green onions, put the roots in water.

Keep adding water...

In about a week, you'll have these beauties ready to eat. Pretty easy (and neat) huh? I love green onions!
P.S. The last photo is with my new camera!!! Can you see the difference?

Awesome! I didn't know you could do that. I've gotta try it now.
I saw that on Food Network awhile ago and was so excited. So I tried it, but the new onions that grew tasted like dirt. blech! Is that weird or normal? How do yours taste?
Mandi- mine taste like plain ol' delicious green onions. I'd say give it another shot?
