Need another fun outdoor activity for your family during the winter time?
What about ice skating outside?
We visited our favorite little ice skating rink in South Jordan while the kids were out on Christmas break. We were pretty much the only ones there, although we did pick up our skates the night before and turn them in the next night when the rental hut was open. But both nights it was pretty busy and during the day it wasn't- so it was worth it for our beginner skaters. I wonder if it was so busy because of the holiday? Anyway- if you rent skates at night and turn them in the same night- it's only $1! If you want to keep the skates overnight it costs $3. (See end of post for more info.)

The boys had fun skating and sledding with their cousins.
