Our fabulous neighborhood "Wednesday Getaways" have
continued this summer thanks to my friend Ann.
We went to Wheeler Farm for a picnic in their giant shady trees.
Seeing the animals and farm equipment was just icing on the cake.
(I wasn't planning on taking pictures, so these were from my iphone.)

| We always park our picnic blankets right next to the stream so the kids can wade in it while we watch. |

| Linc was being so hilarious-- laying just like this with only his head up and eating sooo much watermelon. Pretty soon we were all laughing at him- he looked like a little man drunk on watermelon. |

We visited the little country store right before we left for a little treat.
Jada was nice enough to give up the last reeses peanut butter cup ice cream bar to me- so sweet!
A great place for a picnic!
Hours and directions to Wheeler Farm:
Hours
- Park hours are dawn till dusk daily.
- Office hours; 9-6, Monday - Saturday.
- Victorian House Tours - 3PM Monday through Friday, with an additional tour at 11AM June through August. Or by Reservation.
- Cow Milking Demonstration: NEW! - Cow Millking at 4:15 and 5PM. Purchase your tokens 15 minutes prior to the demonstration. Demonstration fee is $.50 per person to enter the barn.

Directions
Take 1-215 and exit at Union Park Avenue, or Exit 9.
The Farm entrance is located on the east side of 900 East.
